Palin Speaks Out About Health Care Plan

Having health issues myself, I’ve been trying to stay abreast of what Congress and Obama are planning on doing about making sure every American gets the quality care they are entitled to.

So..it seems Ms. Palin is getting involved and rightfully so as she has a child with Down Syndrome.

I was looking over this article and was stunned when I saw that they’re going to give a voluntary right to end your life – euthanasia.  Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t the US rule assisted suicide is illegal?  Now it seems the House is debating on whether or not Medicare should offer an ‘end of life’ counseling service for those who are volunteering to take part of that program.

The news from Congress and the White House on the health care system is becoming more and more disturbing.  Are people with chronic conditions, birth defects, illness from growing old…are they going to be deemed as unfit for treatment and given minimal care?

We need to wake up and start making our voices heard!

Twilight in Trouble?

I tried the series "Twilight" and made it past the first few paragraphs before taking it back to the library.  I couldn’t get into the series, the characters..none of it.  But I do find articles on novels to be interesting and my mother send me one that revolved around a plagiarism dispute.  Apparently, there are

Commuting isn’t just for humans!

Logging in can be fun because you never know what the headlines are going to be.  Take today’s interesting article about a 12-year-old cat in England that takes the bus everyday.  Now, mind you, he really doesn’t have a destination in mind.  Casper just likes to ride the bus! The First UK Bus staff all know

Horrible Mix Up

Logging in today, I see a title about a horrified cat owner, so naturally I clicked on it having a feline companion myself.  The news absolutely flabbergasted me.  An owner went out of town with her son, leaving a friend to feed and take care of their family pet.  The cat was healthy and for some

Presidential Foot in Mouth disease

You know, it seems as if every time I look at the news, Obama has made the headlines for the most idiotic gaffes any person can make.  The bad news on that fact is he’s our President and making us look stupid. Take this new issue about Stg. James Crowley and the arrest of Henry

Yet another rant

I was logging online this morning and found this headline across my AIM page, and it made my bad mood even worse.  I can’t believe the navy would say there was no harassment charges filed!  Well, if there weren’t any filed, then I would suspect he was afraid to given the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy

Losing Fingers

I was sent an article today from my mom.  David Grounds, a Florida resident, lost parts of his ring and index finger of his right hand to an alligator in an effort to save his dog from being a meal for the reptile.  He pried open the gator’s mouth to release the dog and then

Science Versus Superstition

This is a battle that has been going on since man first began finding ‘logical’ explanations for things that had often been held in terror.  Take the upcoming solar eclipse that will be seen in India.  Right now, people are living in terror because they think that this eclipse will be a disaster forthcoming.  Women

Robin Hood

So, I’m sucker for stories where you actually hear good things about actors and people in high places.  Today’s story deals with Russell Crowe’s generosity towards a crew member on the set of Robin Hood.  When her car blew up, he teased her about it and then realized that this presented a financial drain for

It’s a Conspiracy, I tell you!

I always knew my cat was planning to take over the world or at least, me, but to actually have an article that proves that our wonderful feline friends manipulate us really took the cake. In an article I found on yahoo, a scientist owned by a cat noticed something in the purring of her
